Jazz Chisholm Jr. homered and Luis Gil pitched one-run ball over 5 1/3 innings to help the New York Yankees beat the St. Louis Cardinals 4-3

Second baseman Jazz Chisholm, by far the flashiest Yankees’ off-the-field dresser even before pitcher Marcus Stroman was released last month, tossed his in his locker and then grabbed the four colorful bats that he made up for possible use in the Cardinals series.

Luis Gil was solid in his third start this season and Jazz Chisholm Jr.'s two-run blast proved to be the difference as the Yankees held on to defeat the Cardinals, 4-3, on Friday night in St. Louis.
