Unable to move well on the court, the five-time Grand Slam champion extended her streak of not reaching a final after a demoralizing loss to Coco Gauff in the semifinals of the Madrid Open.

Swiatek hasn't won any titles since last year's French Open and she didn't hide at the start of the clay season that she was hoping to quickly change that. So far, it hasn't happened for the 23-year-old, who still has the Rome Open before kicking off her French Open title defense.
