Horizon Zero Dawn and its successors are very different games to Guerrilla Games' FPS series, Killzone, and according to the studio's art director, it was purposely made to be "the opposite" in order to "refresh the palette.

Additionally, a report from last month stated that Guerrilla's next game will be Horizon Online instead of a third entry in the single-player series. That one would then arrive afterward, potentially many years down the line. That adds to the idea Guerrilla won't be touching Killzone anytime soon.
