Authorities in Honolulu said they have arrested an additional four people in connection with a deadly New Year's Eve fireworks explosion that killed five people and injured about 20 others.

In addition to six arrests, authorities recovered 500 pounds of unused illegal fireworks from the carport and vehicles.

Two mothers and two fathers were arrested Wednesday in connection with an Aliamanu party that ended when a large stash of illegal aerial fireworks was accidentally ignited Jan. 1, killing five people and sending dozens to hospitals with critical injuries.
