Nearly two million Floridians are without power after Hurricane Milton hit the Sunshine State late Wednesday less than two weeks since Hurricane Helene 's devastation. Over 1.901 million outages have been reported in Florida as of 11 p.m. ET Wednesday, according to the USA TODAY power outage tracker.

When Hurricane Milton made landfall on the evening of Wednesday, Oct. 9, millions of people lost access to power and water. At one point, 3.2 million had lost power in the state, and 1.7 million of them were on the Gulf Coast.

About two million customers in Florida have already lost power Wednesday night from Hurricane Milton, which made landfall near Siesta Key in Sarasota County before cutting across the middle of the state.
