Investigation into the incident revealed that 12 people were either taken to or arrived at area hospitals with gunshot wounds.

ELKHART, Ind. (WNDU) - One person is dead and 11 others are injured after a shooting in Elkhart early Sunday morning. Officers were called just after 1 a.m. Sunday to the 300 block of W. Garfield Avenue on a shots fired report. They quickly learned a dozen people had been shot. One of the victims has died.
