FromSoftware president Hidetaka Miyazaki has teased the company's upcoming games but they don't include Elden Ring 2.

It wouldn’t be shocking if FromSoftware decided to follow its most successful game with a sequel, but the studio recently confirmed that Elden Ring 2 isn’t currently in the works. Instead, the company behind the open-world RPG is working on other projects.

FromSoftware conducted a new interview recently offering some insights into what to expect next from the legendary developer that brought us Dark Souls, Bloodborne, Sekiro, and many more 10/10 bangers.

FromSoftware had a massive hit on its hands back in 2022 when they dropped Elden Ring. The game received near-universal acclaim and had the sales to back it up, being one of the best-selling games of that year.

FromSoftware President Miyazaki confirmed no Elden Ring 2 in the works for now. Fans speculate a possible Bloodborne sequel or Dark Souls IV next. Sony's potential acquisition of Kadokawa could lead to future FromSoftware games being PlayStation exclusives.

FromSoftware has confirmed that you shouldn't expect Elden Ring 2 to happen any time soon, but that multiple projects are in the works.

Elden Ring 2 is not being considered by FromSoftware, though the franchise will still continue. Creator Hidetaki Miyazaki spoke to Japanese outlet Game Watch after this year's PlayStation Awards, for which Elden Ring DLC Shadow of the Erdtree won the grand award.
