Jack Flaherty struck out nine over six scoreless innings as the Detroit Tigers defeated the Chicago Cubs 4-0 and took two of three games in a matchup of two of the MLB's top teams.

The Tigers remain atop the American League Central, seven games up on the Minnesota Twins. The Cubs are still first in the National League Central, four games ahead of the St. Louis Cardinals. Time: 1:10 p.m. ET
