The slumping Storm added All-Star Brittney Sykes via trade this week. The process of incorporating the veteran guard into the lineup begins Friday against the Aces.

The Seattle Storm and Washington Mystics are the latest teams to jump into the mix ahead of the 2025 WNBA trade deadline (3 p.m. ET on Thursday). The two clubs agreed to a deal Tuesday that will send All-Star guard Brittney Sykes to Seattle in exchange for Alysha Clark,

Sykes, who made her 1st WNBA All-Star team this season was traded from the Washington Mystics to the Seattle Storm for Alysha Clark and a 2026 1st-round pick. Brittney is averaging 15.4 points, 4.3 assists, 3.4 rebounds and 1.2 steals per game and joins a Seattle team that is 16-13 and is in 6th place in the WNBA, 3rd in the Western Conference.
