Floods have caused havoc in many parts of Zambia. In the Kanyama township, located in the capital Lusaka, most roads are impassable and some houses are submerged in water.

The littering of garbage has led to a build up of debris which can be a danger to the health of local people. In some instances, as shown in this picture, the debris can even be found in gardens.
