Winnipeg Jets forward Gabriel Vilardi, 25, who has 27 goals, is considered week-to-week with an upper-body injury, coach Scott Arniel said Monday, adding that "what happened, it really was kind of a freak situation" in Sunday's loss to the Buffalo Sabres.

Jets center Gabriel Vilardi is expected to miss over a week of action thanks to an upper-body injury he recently suffered.

Accounting to Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Free Press it isn’t good news about number 13: “ Gabe Vilardi is week-to-week with an upper-body injury. It’s not related to the puck he took to the ear in the first period on Sunday.”
