House Bill 1204, approved Monday, Feb. 9 by the House, would permit counties to adopt ordinances adding a $1 surcharge per vehicle at qualifying state parks and recreation areas.
The new Indiana State Parks director, Brandt Baughman, ran the Indiana Dunes State Park for 13 years and said it provided excellent preparation for running the statewide park system.
