South Korea's Constitutional Court said Tuesday that it will rule on whether to uphold President Yoon Suk Yeol's impeachment Friday, closing a chapter on a months-long saga that has roiled the country.

South Korea’s Constitutional Court has announced a ruling on the impeachment case against President Yoon Suk Yeol will be handed down at 11 a.m. local time Friday.

Following months of deliberation, South Korea’s Constitutional Court will decide this week whether to uphold the legislature’s impeachment of President Yoon Suk Yeol over his brief imposition of martial law in December and formally remove him from office or restore his presidential powers.
