Beatle Ringo Starr said he will only make music on this one condition in a new interview with 'The Times UK' p Sunday, Jan. 12.

Ringo Starr maintains his perpetual optimism in “Look Up,” the title track of his new, Nashville-centered album. Written by T Bone Burnett and Daniel Tashian, the song posits, “There’s a light that shines in the darkest days,” bolstered by richly twangy guitars and an unmistakable Ringo backbeat. JON PARELES

Ringo Starr has opened up about picking songs for his new country album, Look Up, saying he "only listened" to the tracks and "didn’t know who had written them". The album, which is set for release on 10th January 2025, is a collection of 11 songs – many of them co-written T Bone Burnett, while other contributors include Billy Swan and Bruce Sugar.

Sir Ringo Starr has no desire to be a solo artist and "only wants to be in a band". The Beatles drummer has been touring with his group Ringo Starr and His All-Starr Band since the 1980s with the line-up changing more than a dozen times over the years but Ringo is adamant he never wants to go it along because he hates the idea of being "out there on my own".
