A Nintendo Switch 2 Star Wars game has potentially been leaked ahead of its reveal and the reveal of the new Nintendo console itself.

Nintendo's announcement for the release date of the Nintendo Switch 2 has been seemingly confirmed by Walmart.

Why is everybody expecting the Switch 2 reveal today? It all started back on January 13, when multiple outlets corroborated reports from industry commentator Nate the Hate that Nintendo was preparing to release a Switch 2 trailer on January 16, 2024.

Four major games from third-party publishers are said to be heading to the Nintendo Switch 2 in the console's launch window.

Considering the original Switch's massive install base, it's likely that Nintendo will continue supporting the platform for quite some time. 2025 alone will see plenty of major new games released for the Nintendo Switch, with the company recently taking the time to single out 15 games that are coming to the console this year.

All signs are pointing towards an imminent Nintendo Switch 2 reveal, with our first look at the upcoming console expected to drop in the coming days. Even so, the near-constant stream of leaks and rumors in the last few weeks has left me feeling like I already know almost everything that the Japanese hardware giant intends to show off.
