Temperatures will fall below freezing next week in Southeast Texas, but will the region see wintry weather? Here’s what we’re expecting.

Houston-area officials are urging caution among residents as the second arctic front of 2025 is set to bring a hard freeze and chances of wintery precipitation across the region starting on Jan. 20.

The Houston area is seeing an increasing chance that a mix of wintry precipitation—including snow—is headed in its direction. Space City Weather meteorologist Eric Berger said there is a growing possibility (about a 50-50 chance) of snow or sleet beginning next Monday night and Tuesday.
