The bodies of two large Malinois-mix dogs belonging to slain hiker Susan Lane-Fournier appear to have been discovered in Oregon.

On Saturday, the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of 71-year-old Michel Fournier, who was charged with second-degree murder. Michel is reportedly the victim's husband.

A man is facing a second-degree murder charge a week after his wife, who filed for divorce in Clackamas County recently, was reported missing.

Lane-Fournier’s body was later recovered, and her husband, 71-year-old Michel Fournier of Brightwood, has been arrested on allegations of second-degree murder. Court documents show Lane-Fournier had recently filed for divorce from her husband.

KGW reported that she filed the divorce proceedings on Oct. 31 in Clackamas County Circuit Court, and a petition for dissolution of marriage stated that "irreconcilable differences between the parties have caused an irremediable breakdown of their marriage."
