A Topeka native is coming home with a podium finish after competing in the World Special Olympics in Turin, Italy. According to a spokesperson from Special Olympics Kansas (SOKS) , Bekah Henderson will be bringing home a bronze medal for her performance in the snowshoeing 50m.

Brandon Wilt, a resident of Bruceton Mills, is bringing home gold for the USA after winning a snowshoeing event at the Special Olympics Winter World Games in Italy.

The CUSD7 school in Madison County IL wins its second unified championship and had a pep rally to celebrate the acehivement.

The 24-year-old completed the course in 1:57.450, more than two seconds ahead of the runner up, Mexico’s Alejandro Elias Gonzalez.
