A mass shooting has left one person dead and at least 11 others injured, police in Elkhart, Indiana say. According to authorities, police were called to the 300 block of West Garfield Avenue at approximately 1:11 a.m. for a call of shots fired.

An exchange of gunfire early Sunday in the West Garfield/Benham Avenue area left one dead and 11 wounded, t Police Department said. The nature of the shooting and other details were not immediately available.
