Shohei Ohtani had Tom Hanks and Rob Lowe in awe after he crushed a towering, opposite field home run on Opening Day vs. the Tigers.

Facing a full count against Brenan Hanifee of the Detroit Tigers, the left-handed batter swung and blasted the baseball deep over left field. Ohtani took his laps around the base. But the Academy Award winning actor Hanks got seen losing it in excited fashion after the home run.

In front of Hollywood’s biggest names and one of the city’s biggest sports icons, Ohtani sent a blast into the left field stands during the seventh inning for his second home run of the season in the Dodgers’ 5-4 win over the Tigers.
