A man was shot and killed Tuesday afternoon on an upper level of the Rosslyn Metro station in a confrontation with Arlington police officers who were investigating a report of a man with a knife, the Arlington County Police Department said.

A person was shot and two officers were injured in an officer-involved shooting at the Rosslyn Metro Station Tuesday afternoon, Arlington County officials said.

The man who was shot by Arlington police at the Rosslyn Metro Station on Tuesday died at the hospital, officials announced in an update on Wednesday. The regional Critical Incident Response Team (CIRT) is now investigating the incident.
