Rob McElhenney, soon to be known as Rob Mac, is defending the decision to change his last name. In a recent post on X, McElhenney shared a brief video explaining why he abridged his last name for those still scratching their heads over the news.

In a one-minute video he posted earlier in the week, he announced he's changing his name to ... Rob Mac. It'll be "mostly" a stage name, and, er, Mac explained that lots of people have had trouble pronouncing it or spelling it over the years.
