President Donald Trump accused former President Barack Obama of "treason" on Tuesday, blaming him, without providing evidence, for leading an effort to falsely tie him to Russia and undermine his 2016 presidential campaign.

Timing-wise, Trump's post coincides with Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard's claims that she has evidence of an “Obama Administration Conspiracy to Subvert Trump’s 2016 Victory and Presidency.” In a tweet, she wrote: "Their goal was to usurp President Trump and subvert the will of the American people."
