Wicked fans will rejoicify in how the movie adaptation of the musical, in theaters now, is a true love letter to the Broadway show. Every song and scene from the original stage production has been included—and in many cases expanded.

For the most part, Wicked: Part 1 is similar to the first act of the Wicked musical. Granted, it's been some time since I've seen it, but there were plenty of moments that I was expecting to happen, and they did. One of those happened to be the Ozdust Ballroom scene, where there's a shift in the friendship between Elphaba and Glinda.

Starring Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande as Elphaba and Glinda, respectively, the movie adaptation has been in the works for years, and now it's finally a reality. Directed by Jon M. Chu, the film adaptation has received critical acclaim as he and the team have captured the magic of the stage production on screen.
