The second murder trial of Karen Read, a former adjunct professor and financial analyst who is accused of causing the death of her Boston police officer boyfriend, continues Monday with additional witnesses to be called to the stand.

Officials in Texas are searching for a murder suspect who is on the loose after removing his ankle monitor before a court appearance, authorities said.

The Van Zandt County sheriff's office said in a news release Monday morning that deputies were searching for Trevor McEuen, who was charged with capital murder in neighboring Kaufman County. He was scheduled to go on trial on Monday.
