Follow along as former Ald. Danny Solis, one of the most anticipated witnesses to take the stand in ex-Illinois House Speaker Michael J. Madigan's trial on corruption charges, resumes his testimony Tuesday afternoon.

FBI Special Agent Ryan McDonald said on the stand Thursday afternoon investigators focused in on the speaker in 2017, after Solis recorded a meeting during which Madigan was heard asking Solis to introduce him to the developers of a high-rise apartment building in the West Loop called Union West.

Danny Solis’s testimony in Michael Madigan’s corruption trial continued into day three on Tuesday. Federal prosecutors said Madigan and his top aide ran a criminal conspiracy to enrich themselves. The government said they took official actions to benefit Private developers in exchange for bribes or other favors.
