Alabama A&M linebacker Medrick Burnett Jr. died Tuesday evening following injuries received during the Magic City Classic game against Alabama State University in late October. Burnett was 20 years old. Alabama A&M announced Burnett’s passing in a Wednesday morning release.

Medrick Burnett Jr. was a linebacker in his first season with A&M. He was hurt during the game and taken off the field on a stretcher.
