Jon Rahm has fallen outside the world's top 50 golfers after previously criticising the Official World Golf Ranking system.

Jon Rahm's arrival on the professional golf scene was marked by his victory at the 2017 Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines, a win that moved him into the top 50 of the Official World Golf ranking for the first time.

However, this highlights the flaws of the current world rankings system of golf. According to OWGR, Rahm is currently ranked 43rd, while he should at least be in the top 10 if not the top 5.
