Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says he is recommending Hezbollah ceasefire proposal - The deal calls for a two-month initial halt in fighting

The proposed ceasefire agreement is based on the terms of the UN Security Council resolution 1701 which was adopted in 2006 to manage to end a month-long war between Israel and Hezbollah.It intended to create a buffer zone in southern Lebanon but the implementation on a full scale failed due to pushback on both sides.
