The 2024 WNBA Golden State Expansion Draft is just days away, which means it’s time to predict how one of the league’s newest teams will build its roster.

The league extended its schedule to 44 games this year, up from 40, with the addition of the expansion Golden State Valkyries. The new team, which has over 20,000 season ticket deposits, will play its inaugural game at home on opening night against Los Angeles.

The Lynx’s depth helped lead them to the WNBA Finals, but they should be watched closely heading into the expansion draft. Team president and head coach Cheryl Reeve will have to make difficult decisions about who to protect, though no matter what she decides, high-potential or high-impact players will be available.
