The Denver Broncos have activated linebacker Drew Sanders from the physically unable perform list to the 53-man roster, according to a report from KUSA-TV's Mike Klis. Sanders (6-4, 233 pounds) was picked by the Broncos in the third round of the 2023 NFL draft out of Arkansas.

Sanders has been on the PUP list since he tore an Achilles tendon during the early part of Denver’s offseason workout program last spring.

Sanders was Broncos' third-round pick last year who suffered Achilles tear in spring. Dulcich was waived Tuesday by Broncos. Broncos also cut Throckmorton.

Sanders takes the spot on the 53-man roster that opened when Denver on Monday waived tight end Greg Dulcich. Dulcich was claimed off waivers Tuesday by the New York Giants. The Broncos also waived offensive lineman Calvin Throckmorton. He is a possibility to be brought back to the practice squad.

The Broncos have lost both Baron Browning and Alex Singleton, trading the former and seeing the latter land on IR early. A hybrid player ahead of a third-round NFL entrance, Drew Sanders is on track to help a strong defense soon.
