Investors know that Domino's is in the pizza business. But few are aware that the company generates most of its revenue from supply chain services. For context, in its fiscal third quarter of 2024, it had over $650 million in supply chain revenue, which was 60% of its total revenue.

Both companies’ shares jumped on the news as investors followed Buffett’s lead. Domino’s stock has risen 8.5% year-to-date and 20% over the past year. Pool Corp., though down 9% year-to-date, has seen a modest 3.5% annual increase.

People can debate their favorite toppings or preferred style of crust, but it's hard to find someone who doesn't love pizza. For more than 60 years, Domino's Pizza ( DPZ 1.68%) has translated that universal constant into a globally recognized brand and wildly successful franchise business.
