The Buffalo Bills didn't make a trade at the deadline, but general manager Brandon Beane reportedly tried to pull off a pair of blockbuster deals, so it wasn't for a lack of trying.

Without Johnson, the Bills had seven defensive backs play at least 26 snaps: Christian Benford (60), Cole Bishop (60), Cam Lewis (60), Jordan Poyer (34), Maxwell Hairston (30), Tre'Davous White (30), Ja'Marcus Ingram (26) and Jordan Hancock (26).

Injuries have plagued five-time Pro Bowl defensive end Joey Bosa during his career. He hasn’t played an entire season since 2019 while he was still with the Chargers. It’s so far, so good for the 10-year pro, who in eight outings has 19 tackles, four sacks, and four forced fumbles. Bosa has a sack in two straight games.
