The Braves on Monday activated right-hander Ian Anderson to the active roster and signed outfielder Eddie Rosario to a major league contract.

Rosario won't be starting for the Braves in tonight's series opener against the Colorado Rockies, but expect him to be an option to pinch hit or could be in route to be placed in the lineup later this week. Now for the 31-year-old Thompson, the Braves could possibly trade him or he will be placed on waivers sometime this week.

It’s been a slow start for the Atlanta Braves as they own a 12-15 record through the first 27 games of the season. Injury has been the story so far as the team hopes to get healthy sooner, rather than later.
