Allen Greene is taking over as Pitt athletic director after serving as the senior deputy athletic director and chief operating officer at Tennessee and stints as AD at Buffalo and Auburn.

Allen Greene stepped away from his role as Auburn's athletic director over two years ago, and now he is ready to take the chair at another institution. ESPN's Pete Thamel reports that Pittsburgh has hired Greene to become the university's next athletic director.
