Beautiful monument and building. Was fun to walk up to even though it was already closed to go inside. The outside of the building is illuminated red, white, and blue at night. Full review by 816briannap

not sure about ticket for infant depending how old. Tour is long with talking. You can tour on your own without a group and I believe that is free. take the King Street trolley to the end of the line and you do have a little hike, like up a big hill by road or hike the stairs. There must be parking but we walked. Also, Metro has a stop at the bottom of the hill. no restaurant inside but on King Street lots and also at the bottom of the hill on King Street

when I did any type of "touring" in D.C or Alexandria I always had one on my my children were "infants" I never went alone. I had either their father with me and I would hire my baby sitter to keep track of the other one. Frankly you should not any touring in Alexandria alone with an infant. If you have your spouse with you and you have a very durable carriage or I used to carry my infant in a front carrier on my chest. I don't recommend touring with an infant if you are not "totally familiar" with this area. It is a very busy traffic area and not friendly to walking around especially in the King Street Metro area near the Temple, now days, unless you are triathlete :) Good Luck!
