A nice easy walk, can go as far as you want. The path is paved and wide enough for people and bikes. We went on a beautiful sunny and windy day. Nice view of the river.Full review by 928sarat

You are allowed to walk or jog on the trails with your pets, but please stay on the pedestrain side, which is the side closest to the river and sometimes has no lines. You can also bring dogs to the parks, plaza, and rest areas. Please follow all rules and signs. There is no dog park, but there are many parks that allow dogs.

Yes, the Gathering Place is still being built and wont open until September 8th. River trail is closed from 22nd to 35th street. Midland Valley Trail is closed from about 23rd street to the other side of the Arkansas River. The pedstrian trail that goes across the river is also closed, but this area provides the best view of the construction. There are bikeway detours, but Im not sure about pedestrians. If you are walking, you will probably have to walk along the sidewalk at Peoria from 21st to 41st.

It's a public park so yes, you can have birthday parties there. I agree with Phyllis45 - the 41st Street area is a great place for birthday parties. There are other places further south along Riverparks too, but not with the facilities like those at 41st. Keep in mind that the Gathering Place is under construction around the 21st Street / Footbridge area and I think that portion of Riverside Drive is closed to traffic right now, or will be very soon.
