I don’t think it’s currently worth S$20 as most of the Galleries are closed for various reasons. Pity you only find out after you have paid. Lovely building with good views from the top floor.Full review by Pouillyfume

Which MRT Station is a shorter and or easier route to the entrance of National Gallery Singapore? Would you suggest Dhoby Ghaut Station or City Hall Station?

City Hall is much closer. The entry to NGS is only 150m from the subway exit and you can then walk in A/C comfort to the main entrance point. The Information Desk at NGS is excellent …
City Hall is much closer. The entry to NGS is only 150m from the subway exit and you can then walk in A/C comfort to the main entrance point. The Information Desk at NGS is excellent for directions and keeping you out of the heat and humidity.

As stated, one focuses on art, the other history. However I would say the National Gallery has the "wow" factor. There are two buildings or wings where the art is stored, over a few floors. Besides, there is a garden gallery. Being an historical building, there is an element of its past to be discovered. The view from the rooftop is marvelous as well. Enjoy!
