Check out this time lapse video of one of the miter gates being replaced at Lock and Dam 2 in Hastings, Minn. Over the past 2 weeks, our maintenance crews worked side-by-side with their counterparts from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Rock Island District to replace the four miter gates. The original gates were nearly 80 years old. Over time, the gates have been damaged and distressed, which has led to serviceability and safety issues.
